Description
Methiophytin urinary tract from Devicare is a food supplement that enhances the effect of the antibiotic in patients with acute episodes of urinary or urinary tract infections such as cystitis.
The food supplement Methiophytin is the association of L-methionine, an acidifier of urine pH, and phytate, a powerful inhibitor of the crystallization of calcium salts.
Properties and benefits of Methiophytin
The association of Methiophytin ingredients allows improving antibiotic activity through a higher concentration of antibiotic in the urine and promoting its bioactive chemical form, in particular of the following antibiotics: Tetracycline, Doxycycline, Cefotaxime, Cephalotin, Cefazolin, Ceftazidime, Piperacillin, Ampicillin, Nitrofurantoin, Fosfomycin and Methenamine hippurat.
- L-Methionine : it is an amino acid that helps reduce the pH of urine, facilitating the action and effectiveness of antibiotics normally used for the treatment of urinary infections such as fosfomycin, ampicillin or cephalosporin.
- Phytate : acts as a protective shield against bacteria that cause urinary tract infections (UTIs), preventing their proliferation in the urinary tract.
How to take Methiophytin?
•Acute phase: 1 tablet every 8 hours for 5 days in combination with antibiotic treatment.
•Preventive phase: 1 tablet every 24 hours at night for at least 6 months.

Composition of Methiophytin
L-Methionine, Rice Bran Extract (Oriza Sativa L., titrated to 85% Calcium Magnesium Phytate). Bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose, Stabilizers: polyvinylpyrrolidone, calcium sulfate dihydrate, magnesium stearate, polyvinylpolypyrrolidone, Anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide, Coating: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose and stearic acid.
For 3 tablets:
L-Methionine (1500 mg), Rice bran extract (150 mg), Calcium magnesium phytate (127.50 mg).
