Cascara sagrada is a stimulant laxative that increases colon peristalsis by irritating the mucosa and acting on the nervous system. It also reduces the absorption of fluids and electrolytes, preventing the stool from becoming excessively dehydrated and resulting in constipation.

One of the main benefits of frangula is that it is used to treat constipation by acting as a purgative, laxative, anthelmintic and cholagogue. It also stimulates bile secretion, so it helps improve the health of the gallbladder and liver. In addition, this bile secretion helps purify the body of excess uric acid.

In low doses it acts at the stomach and cholagogue level. In medium doses it is a laxative that acts on the large intestine.

How to take sacred shell + frangula?

Take 1 or 2 tablets a day, preferably before going to bed, with a glass of water.

Composition of sacred shell + frangula

Stabilizer: microcrystalline cellulose (E460), frangula extract (Rhamnus frangula L., bark), powdered cascara (Rhamus purshianus DC, bark), anti-caking agents: silica (E551) and magnesium stearate (E479b).

For 2 tablets : Frangula extract (320 mg) of which 7% Glucofrangulins (22.4 mg), Cascara sagrada powder (250 mg) of which 9% Cascarosides (22.5 mg).
