Description
Bee's Wrap Beeswax Wrap (Extra Large) is an alternative to film or aluminum wrap, made of organic cotton impregnated with beeswax. Recommended 43 x 58 cm size to cover a large loaf of bread or large container.
Indication
Oversized wrappers are the sustainable and toxic-free alternative to replace plastic film and aluminum foil. Due to their size they are very useful for wrapping bread loaves made with bread maker or purchased and keeping the bread fresh and well preserved. This size is also useful for covering dishes with food, half a watermelon or pumpkin or doughs, such as: doughs fermenting in a large bowl, enriched doughs such as pie, biscuit, dumplings or any type of baked dough.
The wrappers are eco-friendly and reusable. Made with totally natural ingredients that allow perspiration:
- Beeswax from sustainably and responsibly managed farms. Bee's wrap cares for and protects bees and their ecosystem, promoting small hives, in ecological zones and respecting the natural cycle of bees and their honeycombs.
- Printed organic cotton, certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard.
- Certified organic jojoba oil.
- Natural resin, from the Canarium Strictum tree (Indonesian tree of the copal family).
- Reusable, recyclable, compostable packaging from recycled paper. In the packaging window through which Bee's Wrap is seen, the transparent material is biodegradable cellulose polymer.
Jojoba oil and beeswax have antiseptic and conservative properties, which allow food to be kept fresh and in perfect condition.
Intake mode
It softens with the heat of the hands and adapts to the shape of the food or the container. Once placed, it cools down again in a few seconds, keeping the shape that we have given it. If we want to use it again, it can be washed with cold water and a mild soap, left to dry in the air and stored in a dry place and away from heat sources. If properly cared for, we can use it regularly for about a year.
The first times we use it we will notice a smell of beeswax that will have different tones depending on the flowers in which the bees have collected the pollen. This smell will decrease as we use it. It is recommended not to use it to store meat or fish.
The wrappers are suitable for freezing food.
