Intake mode
It can be easily prepared by adding a teaspoon to a cup of water and mixing with the help of a small whisk. It can be sweetened with quality sugar (panela, coconut sugar...), honey or stevia.
Matcha tea with milk (matcha latte) cold or hot.
It can be added to shakes, smoothies, bowls and all types of desserts, cookies or ice cream.
Traditional Japanese-style preparation
The tea is measured with a bamboo spoon, called a shashaku, into a hot tea bowl, known as a chawan.
Hot water (approximately 70°C) is then added to the container. The tea is whisked with a special bamboo whisk, called a chasen, until it becomes smooth with foam on top.
It can be prepared in various consistencies:
Usual or Standard: Mix 1 teaspoon of matcha powder with 60 cc of hot water.
Usucha (light): This lighter version uses about half a teaspoon of matcha, mixed with 90 to 120 cc of hot water.
Koicha (thick): 2 teaspoons of matcha are mixed with about 30 cc of hot water (this concentrated version is sometimes part of Japanese tea ceremonies).
