Description
The Guérande marshes are located in an exceptional territory classified as a Wetland of International Interest (Ramsar) and a Natura 2000 site. The tradition of Guérande salt production is integrated into an ecological approach.
It is made naturally, by evaporation of seawater under the combined action of sun and wind, which crystallizes the Guérande salt.
The fruit of ancestral wisdom passed down from generation to generation, Guérande salt is harvested manually on a layer of clay according to the traditional method, dried and then crushed.
Guérande salt is unprocessed, refined and free of additives. Therefore, they respect the hard work of the supplier: the ocean.
