Description

A legume belonging to the butterfly family, the coral lentil owes its name to its orange-pink color.

Indication

Consumed since prehistoric times, its first traces can be found in China, India and Asia Minor. Experts even assume that they were already the main source of food for the builders of the Egyptian pyramids. They were introduced to Europe by the Romans. Coral lentil requires no soaking, cooks quickly, and blends well into gratins, soups, or purees.

Intake mode

It is recommended to cook for about 10 minutes over low heat, covered.
