Description
Large Celnat oat flakes are steamed, making them very convenient and easy to use. The beta-glucan oat fibers help maintain normal cholesterol levels.
Indication
The origin and evolution of oats remains undetermined because there are many species and subspecies of plants of the Avena family that have been found in regions ranging from Asia Minor to Turkmenistan. Its culture then spread to the rest of the world. Formerly it was the staple food for the people of Northern Europe, (Vikings, Germans, Scottish, Irish). It is perfectly suited to the climate of the Scandinavian countries but it is also found in France where its culture is essentially organic.
Intake mode
It is recommended to consume as is, at breakfast (müeslis, porridge…) or cooked added in soups, gratins, in the dough to make vegetable pancakes, cakes and breads. To obtain this beneficial effect, a daily consumption of 3 g of beta-glucans is necessary. This corresponds to about 2 servings of oats or barley, in the form of grains, flakes, flour or bran. A single 40g serving of creamy porridge provides half the recommended dose, or 1.5g beta-glucans.
Precautions
Possible traces of cereals containing gluten, soy, nuts (hazelnuts, almonds, cashews), sesame.
