Description
Red lentils halves from Salud Viva is an ideal product to prepare soups or casseroles with vegetables or vegetable curries. Red lentils, also known as Egyptian lentils, are lentils that cook quickly and result in a creamy and filling broth.
Intake mode
It is advised to:
1) Wash the dried lentils with a colander under the tap and rinse well. 2) Pour the washed red lentils into a saucepan to cook them and add water (2.5 or 3 cups for each cup of lentils). 3) Boil the water, lowering the heat when it breaks to a boil and cook over low heat, stirring from time to time so that they do not stick. 4) Remove the lentils from the heat. The red lentils will cook in about 25 minutes. The way to know they're done is when they turn into a thick puree. 5) Season to taste. 6) Serve in a plate that combines with red lentils. They are often used to complement other dishes, but you can eat only lentils.
