What is Cattier Superfine Green Clay and what is it for?
Superfine Green Clay Cattier is a young clay , in which the evolutionary stage of the mineral is less advanced than in other clays, being the most active.
The green cattier clay mixes the Montmorillonite and Illite varieties. It is used to prepare beauty masks and poultices for its benefits on the skin and the body . Due to its absorbent and purifying capacity, it is especially suitable for the care of combination and oily skin .
Eliminates impurities and toxins, revitalizes the skin and stimulates cell renewal, making it also suitable for fatigued and aging skin. Very rich in micronutrients , it provides the skin and the body with minerals and trace elements. It is antiseptic, healing and soothing to the skin, which is why it is useful in abscesses, scars, burns and joint and muscle pain.
How to use Green Clay?
- Preparation of the Cattier Superfine Green Clay paste: pour the desired amount of clay into a non-metallic container. Add a volume of water (if possible mineral) that completely covers the clay. Let it rest for about half an hour, then stir with a non-metallic spatula until a fine paste is obtained.
- Masks : apply a thick layer on the face and neck avoiding the eye and lip contour. Leave on for approximately 15 minutes, without allowing the mask to completely dry on the skin. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat the skin dry with a cotton towel.
- Poultices : with a non-metallic spatula, spread a layer of clay 2 to 3 centimeters thick on a natural fabric. Apply the poultice directly to the skin and fix it with a soft bandage. If the skin is irritated, put a thin gauze between the skin and the clay. When the poultice is almost dry, remove it and remove the remains of clay with warm water, then dry the skin with a cotton towel. To remove the poultice, never use alcohol or eau de toilette, only warm water.
- Baths to soften the skin : pour one to two tablespoons of clay into a large glass, add mineral water and stir with a non-metallic spoon. Then add the mixture to the bath water. It can be used in conjunction with essential oils.
Avoid contact of the clay with metal utensils.
