Description
Clearspring Organic Sushi Rice is ideal for creating delicious and perfectly cooked rice that can be used in Japan's most famous dish, sushi. It is grown in the Piemonte region in north-western Italy.
Indication
Once matured, the rice is polished to perfection by a rice mill located in the nearby town of Trino. When only the outermost layer of a grain of rice (the husk) is removed, brown rice is produced. To produce white rice, the next layers under the husk (the bran and the germ layer) are removed leaving mainly the starchy endosperm.

It is recommended to wash in cold water and drain it. Transfer to a saucepan with 1¼ cups (310 ml) of cold water. Let it soak for 30 minutes. Bring to a boil. Cover and lower heat to simmer for 10-12 minutes or until all water has been absorbed. Remove from the heat and leave, covered, for 10 minutes.
Storage conditions
Store in a cool, dry place.
